What Small Business Resource Do You Use?

Today we ask our small business customers: What resource do you rely on the most for news and information about small business information, tips and tactics?

Do you visit the New York Times Small Business section? How about smallbusiness.com? Yahoo Small Business? Do you utilize the U.S. Government’s own Small Business Administration website? Which of these sites do you rely on for small business advice, if any? We want to know — tell us your thoughts in the comments section, below.

  1. First, I applaud your interest in wanting to know more about how business owners seek information in starting/growing their businesses.

However, your question needs to be re-phrased. The examples of sources you give are all “online” sources.

The follow up questions should be “Do you first go online? Read a magazine or newspaper? Attend a seminar or workshop?

Business owners rarely use one source to get all their information. Yes, over 70% of business owners first go to the Internet when seeking information, but that is mainly due to the instant access. They also have their favorite small business magazines, and they will attend workshops or seminars where they can get more information.

    Hope this helps.

  2. Thanks for your comment. You’re right; I intended to ask what ONLINE resources are preferred, knowing that there are many valuable non-electronic resources as well. I also realize that nobody gets their info from just one source, which is why I asked what resource you rely upon “most.”

That I was seeking perspective on online resources is somewhat implied by the fact that we at Aplus.Net specialize in online business. However, I should not assume that all visitors to this blog are aware of this. In the future, I’ll remember to be more specific. Thanks again for your post; I appreciate the insight.
