The Web Host Industy Review (or The WHIR) today posted an exclusive interview with Aplus.net’s new CEO, Phillip Spencer.

The interview focuses largely on Aplus.net’s recent move to consolidate its team of professionals into one location, its corporate headquarters in Overland Park, Kansas — a rare move in the web hosting industry, which “has by and large seen companies embrace the movement to outsource services,” according to the article.

Although Aplus.net has taken what Spencer describes as a “short-term hit” by the tactic, the company has been more than willing to make that sacrifice in order to improve the overall Aplus.net experience for its hundreds of thousands of customers. “By removing language barriers and business style differences that result with overseas support, we have created a more efficient support staff for our customers,” states Mr. Spencer in the article.
