Optimize your Web marketing content with resources from Grader

If you have a website, Facebook page, or Twitter profile, or if you plan to send out press releases or other written content, Grader.com has several free optimization tools just for you.

Website Grader analyzes your website’s on-page SEO, off-page SEO, the blogosphere, and the social media sphere. It also determines how well your site converts qualified visitors to leads and how your site ranks against other specified competitors. The tool then e-mails you a custom report detailing what you’ve done “right” and what areas need improvement.

Twitter Grader does about the same thing, but on a much more limited scale since Twitter has many fewer features than a website. However, Twitter Grader offers specific suggestions about how to optimize your Twitter profile.

Facebook Grader isn’t quite as much help – it doesn’t offer any suggestions – but it does show how your Facebook page measures up to every other Facebook fan page.

Press Release Grader, however, is the tool that got me hooked on this site. This analyzes each section of your document and displays a step-by-step checklist noting what essential information you included and what information you may have forgotten. I never send out a press release without first running it through the Press Release Grader!

The last useful tool Grader.com features is its Gobbledygook Grader. If you have an unfortunate tendency to write gobbledygook words, running your text through this grader and eliminating overused words and phrases like “innovate,” “leading provider,” and “new and improved” could help your writing clarity and allow your readers to understand you better.
